Quarkus is an exciting new technology that brings the reliability, familiarity, and maturity of Java Enterprise with a container-ready lightning fast deployment time. Red Hat Cloud-native Microservices Development with Quarkus (DO378) emphasizes learning architectural principles and implementing microservices based on Quarkus and OpenShift. Deploying your Quarkus applications as OpenShift Serverless services; Preface; Making open source more inclusive; 1. Deploying a Serverless Quarkus Java application to OpenShift using the OpenShift extension; 2. Deploying a container image for a Quarkus native application in a continuous integration as a serverless application; 3. Additional Quarkus ist dazu ausgelegt, bei der Anwendungsentwicklung eine nahtlose Kombination des bewährten imperativen sowie des nicht-blockierenden reaktiven Stils zu ermöglichen.
Quarkus provides a novel reactive API called Mutiny, with the goal of easing the development of highly scalable, resilient, and asynchronous systems. In this chapter we’re going to see some examples of how Mutiny changes the design of our Quarkus applications.
Red Hat Quarkus Lab Validation This report compares Quarkus with another widely used Java framework for cloud-native development. The comparison is based on criteria important for container, Kubernetes, and cloud deployments. “With Quarkus, users are getting a fully Red Hat supported technology, which includes an active community, continuous updates, and a fast release cadence,” the company noted in a press release.
In a microservices architecture, and generally speaking, any kind of application, might need to be protected so only certain users can access to the defined endpoint.

Red Hat Quarkus is a full-stack, Kubernetes-native Java framework made for Java virtual machines (JVMs) and native compiliation, optimising Java specifically for containers and enabling it to become an effective plaform for serverless, cloud and Kubernetes enivornments. The Quarkus project team leadership worked with the Middleware Engineering Services (MWES) Design team to create the visual identity of the Quarkus brand. To design the brand the MWES team looked to the project name and took into consideration the project’s unique features; its small size, its ultra-fast scaling speed, and its Kubernetes roots.
